I am a life-time lover of computers who has spent the last 15 years slaving away in the service industry. I left a comfortable job as a General Manager of a busy restaurant to explore my dream of working on the computers I love so much. I am a progressive thinker that is always looking to improve the lives of people in my community, and I strive everyday to search for knowledge and find truth. I love animals and have a soft spot for weirdos and bizarre creatures.

I taught myself HTML and CSS, and learned Ruby on Rails from the Iron Yard - Atlanta bootcamp. My instructor, Brit Butler, was instrumental in helping me become a software engineer.

For the first time, I feel like my creativity is rewarded at almost every level, from problem solving to actual design. Being given tools that promote out-of-the-box thinking has been a blessing!
